What does a video production look like?

If you’ve never made a video professionally before, you might wonder how the process goes so heres a quick overview for you.

It starts with a phone call, a video call or an in person meeting to discuss your goals. Whatever fits your schedule works for us but we love a face to face chat in person where possible, at our expense. It’s exciting for us to learn about your business and what you want to achieve so starting a working relationship in person just makes sense.

In our initial meeting we’ll discuss why you want to use video, what a successful project looks like to you and what would work best to achieve your goals. We’ll discuss budget, and be able to give you a realistic ballpark figure for your project and we’ll discuss important dates, like completion of project and any important dates that might need to be captured for your video.

We’ll go away and make a plan and give you a full schedule of shoot dates, editing and delivery dates so you’ve got a blueprint of your video project.

Depending on the complexity of your project, how many videos you want creating, and any pre existing dates you need capturing, most projects can be filmed in a day.

Shoot days are great fun for everyone. Teams always get a buzz when theres a video being created and everyone shows their personality. For the shy folk who aren’t used to being on camera, we’ve got 15 years experience of working with people infront of camera so plenty of tricks of the trade to make sure everyone delivers.

After filming has finished its onto the edit. Small projects can literally be turned around within one week, longer projects could take a month when theres multiple videos. This will all be agreed upon in the early conversations we’ll have.

When we deliver your video project we always offer 2 rounds of changes. We want you to be super happy with your production and you may have preferred a different interview answer or shot that better shows your business and we’ll happily change it for you. A video production is a collaboration. You know your business and we know how to deliver video. Together we’ll create something great.
